Acknowledgement: Many thanks and compliments to the scholars who compiled the inscriptions, during the spring of 1996. They did a very thorough job, mapping every stone whether it had writing on it or not, and carefully copying all of the inscriptions. Without their patience and hard work the following information would not be available. Also the late Gordon Wright, Jura, the foremost authority regarding the Isle of Jura.

Readers are advised to check the inscriptions thoroughly as names may occur more than once.
